Okay, my guy and I were officially in a relationship since Christmas evening 2006. Things were super great, but him being in school and playing baseball, he said having a serious relationship right now is too much stress for him, and he doesn't have the time to invest in a relationship as he would like at the moment. Okay. Done deal. I was very, very bitter for a couple days (this happened last week), so basically he said we are just friends for now. My problem is, his overprotective behavior has NOT changed. Like, we both have myspaces, which are private-set, and he still doesn't approve of my talking/adding certain guys or even having pics up (talking about dressed pics) , etc. Basically a behavior that BOYFRIENDS would have. He had made it clear that he still has strong feelings for me, but we're just friends for now. How can I make it clear that his behavior is beyond "friends" ????

Overprotective boyfriend!!??? He absolutely HATES my talkin to guys eventhough we're now "just friends" ???He's not being OVERPROTECTIVE. He's being CONTROLLING. There's a big difference. He has a double standard, one for him and one for you. He's telling you he doesn't have time to invest in a serious relationship with you, but doesn't want you to be friends with other guys.
In my opinion, you need to get away from him.
