I need help convincing my parents for a cellphone!! Sorry if i sound childish?
Ok this generation in middle school is very harsh. Its all about getting spoiled and going out with friends(like going to the mall)...without parents there to watch you. The thing is, you're in charge of yourself, not parents. Parents are just there to give you stuff you want. Im 14 and basically, I'm not popular because my parents are really strict and intimidating. They won't let me stay at home alone even though everyone else does. Just going to the mall with a parent makes me feel embarrased! They won't let me have a cellphone(this girl just asked her parents for a phone and she got a Sidekick!).People without iPods or internet or myspaces are considered losers but luckily I have them. I have to lie and say my phone's taken away cuz I yelled something bad to my parents. I think I already know what you're going to say. "Make a deal with your parents and babysit to get money" They won't even let ME stay home alone. How am I gonna babysit?!
I need help convincing my parents for a cellphone!! Sorry if i sound childish?tell them how much you want one and how every1 already has one.
also tell them somethings reasonalbe like i only want a cheap one
and tell them you want one at like june so they dont think you are asking for too much
I need help convincing my parents for a cellphone!! Sorry if i sound childish?Believe it or not, this is an old issue, the only new thing is the "cell phone" every generation has complaints on things that everyone else gets to have, or do and they cannot because their parents are 'strict'. Don't be in such a hurry, you are only young once. In the end you should try and not care so much about what people think. I know thats hard and believe me, I remember being young and being embarassed because my mom didn't let me do things that I thought "everyone' else got to do. You are not alone I am sure there are other 14 year olds out there who don't have a cell phone and are kept under a 'tighter rein'. One thing I learned is I look back and I am very grateful for my mom telling me 'no' sometimes. I know she loved me and was watching out for me. You will get a cell phone soon enough. Be happy with what you have, but most of all be happy that you have parents that love you enough to tell you "no". One day you will look back and appreciate the things your parents did for you. As for your classmates and friends, one day you won't even remember who had what and who got to do what...........................
