- Don't help my co-workers
- Say nasty things about the corporation I work for in a Blog on mysapce, I'll use my real name.

The article refers to exempt professionals in progressive companies. In those cases, the advice is pretty accurate in my professional opinion.
You're taking the article out of context. However, I do agree there should have been some sort of explanation as to what kind of job the writer was targeting.
