I like this girl, but she has a huge crush on a guy she cant have...i have no clue what to do...?

I met this girl almost a year ago but ive only just gotten to kno her really well in the last few months.
She goesto a different high school (near to mine). we are both in a youth group at our church and see each other at least once a week, sometimes more if the group decides to get together and hang out in between meetings.
we started talking quite a bit when we c each other and started talking almost every night for hours on end on AIM.
ive asked her out (as freinds, to more or less get to kno each other better) on several occasions, and yet she has never said no, she will always come up with somekind of excuse why she cant at that time whenever i sugest doing something.
i have found out from a combination of talking with her freinds and a blog/survey she posted on myspace that she has had a huge crush on a guy that she hardly ever sees, whos goes to a different school than either of us, and who already has a steady gf.

Promise her popcorn, dinner and maybe a rose, but not your heart. Keep that in your chest, till you get to know her, her friends, family and specially her intentions. Give her a few months and as many dates in that time as possible. Be sure to tell her that you want to take her out 'with no strings attached'. Without the burden of making a decision between you and the other fellow, you both will be able to relax and enjoy your time together. Go Slow. Don't be in a hurry to give your heart away. Date and have fun.
