Hmm, does this mean anything?
Okay, well on myspace I posted one of those "fill out surveys" for your friends to do, in a bulletin. Now, this guy that people say likes me, (But I can't really tell if that's true or not, because we're good friends...you know what I mean? Maybe he's just nice.) replied to this. There's like 35 questions, but the one that's bugging me is this one:
26.)Q. Would you date me?
26.)A. Well I wouldn't not date you. haha.
...I'm like...huh? What the heck does that mean? Is that even flirty, or just weird? He jokes around a lot by the way. But if this were you, how would you take this? And please don't just humor me, and say yes of course, now go marry him. I want your honest first opinion on this. Thanks so much ahead of time, I appreciate all answers.
Hmm, does this mean anything? He is saying, in a round about way, that he doesn't find the thought of dating you repugnant. In other words although he might not ask you for a date now, he is not closed to the possibility. Basically I get the idea that he may be shy, afraid of rejection, and possibly losing you as a friend. If I liked him I'd ask him out for a date. After all he did say that he wouldn't refuse to date you. Right.
Hmm, does this mean anything?"wouldn't not" means "would." that's how English works. :) double negative.
so he likes you.
