I Just reinstalled Windows xp, and it's acting strange loading sites?

I jsut reinstalled Windows xp (never had problems with it before) and now when I go to some sites, like myspace, excite.com, tripod or yahoo answers, it takes forever to load

and alot of pictures and icons show up as little red x's

now I thought, hmm Java, so I got the latest java, that helped a little, then I thought, Flash? Downloaded flash, still problems, so I got shockwave also. Still acting up, any clue what the problem is?

when you first reinstall xp make sure you go to windows update and get all the updates and latest service pack also run a virus scanner as xp is bad about getting viruses till you update all the way

internet options, make sure all are right for you. advanced, also hope you sp2 installed.
