Computer help? Virus?

My computers been acting funny when I was on myspace the other night.

Its all screwy, slow and sometimes the taskbar disappears, even the desktop icons so only the Background Desktop is showing so I have to log off by presiing crtl+alt=delete. Ive tried tons of virus scans but none are detecting the problem. Ive also tried to restore my computer to a week ago but nothing changed.

Is there a virus in my computer? Ive also been getting tons of different ads from sports, dating, medicine, and even porn ads.

What can I do to stop this? I have a brand new computer and I dont want it ruined. Help please??

you might just want to reinstall your whole os but i don't know what anitvius your using but i reccomend nod32 i don't like and have had bad experiences with panda, avg, macaffe, kaperky, and avast.

if you haven't run malware protection in addition to virus portection, then you are probably nfected. use lavasoft adaware and spybot search and destroy and see if that helps. Both at download.com

It sounds like you have spyware.

These may not be removed from virus scans. There are free spyware removal programs available however, I prefer a free program called HijackThis.

HijackThis will not target specific programs. So it will tell you all the programs that could be hikacking your computer. This means a little research needs to be done to determine if you want to keep the programs that are running.
