Can someone help me w/changing my online now icon?

I have tried everything: get the code, and paste it in myspace "about me" section. I see it in "about me" section but the old online now icon is still there, therefor I have two and why is it that the one that I want is in the wrong place and the old one is still there. I have tried everything but it seems that the suggestions I have been recommended are not accurate, can someone explain in details please!!! thanks in advance!!

Actually, the code the previous poster gives, is for a PERMANENT icon, which will remain even after myspace detects you have logged off.

However it is an improvement over the solutions which do nothing.

For code which works, and allows the icon to behave like one (meaning it goes away when myspace detects you have logged off) go here:

You can put the code at the top of the about me, or any place you are keeping style blocks.

The code works in ALL page locations where the online now icon shows up, and the icon actually goes away when myspace detects you have logged off.

The reason why all the other codes that you are using google to find dont work is because myspace changed their base code after all those lame PIMP sites took over google rankings. Here is how to convert the image URL's you find using google into a code that actually works.
