Is this an accurate representation of relationships and girls? You seem like a grounded guy who would be a great boyfriend. However, if you ever want a worthy girlfriend, you've got to understand that:
1.) Not all girls are like this! (although you seem to know that)
2.) Not all girls who are nice are also ugly or taken
The "nice guys finish last" argument is a perennial classic, right up there with "guys are such sleazeballs, I hate them all" from women." But really, there are many, many happy relationships out there, from teenagers to old married couples. It might take work (like searching for some new social circles) and time (because not every girl you find attractive will be up to your standards of personality), but it'll be worth it in the long run.
Usually your type of depression comes from feeling like all the douchebags have girlfriends and you don't... maybe ******* do get temporarily ahead on looks and charm.... but would you prefer to be "that guy", with a string of cruddy, worthless relationships that end in tears and anger when she realizes you're fake, or wait a little while longer until someone is won over by YOU, rather than superficial things? I can take a guess.
