Are today's young people less concerned with privacy?I think young folks today are more comfortable with sharing about themselves, yeah.
The reason they do so - mostly on the internet - is because of the perceived anonymity of interactions on the internet. When you talk ab out yourself online, you're not talking to other people face to face, and so it's easier to talk about things. It's closer to having private thoughts than it is to having conversation, only they post the thoughts on the internet.
MAny of them, of course, don't really think it through before doing it, and so end up posting information about their identity along with everything else - thus removing any actual anonymity. Sometimes, it comes back to bite them - like when they post information about crimes they've committed, for example.
Are today's young people less concerned with privacy?Yes, you are correct. I'd say it's because they are clueless. They have not lived through a Holocaust-like event, YET. Perhaps once they do they will see the wisdom of not doing so.
Are today's young people less concerned with privacy?Not all of them, I'm 19 and I don't share intimate details of my life on myspace or any where else, I keep those things to myself, I'm not a prude about things but my personal life is definitely not a strangers business, so now I'll try to answer the question at the bottom......I think the whole 15 minutes of fame sums it up, people look at some celebrities and it seems they get a bit of publicity from people reading about their personal life so people probably think that they will get attention from others for sharing their personal business and some people are just starved for attention, and as for people on myspace sharing intimate moments, well know one really knows what's going on with those people they could be making a lot of stuff up, as once again they are starved for attention
