How to get around a new server?

ok, first my school block proxies., but I was still able to get in everything I wanted by typing "https" before everything, the school then switched servers and this no longer works. What should I do? They use the BESS security system.

please note: I'm not doing this for myspace or games, the security system just makes it incredibly hard to do research. Our computer admin doesn't listen to us when we ask for temporary passes, she refuses to give them for such sites as national geographic.com (custom block list) and other sites for seemingly no reason. I know this is considered wrong and i run incredible risks but it'll make work so much easier. I also know that half of you don't believe me about my goals, so feel free to tell me the evils of games and myspace. : ]
