i was shocked to find the guy that raped me on myspace and that he has younger kids on his profile. i even did the report abuse and wrote to contact someone on myspace they didn't do anything about it. so i did further looking for more in my area and was shocked to find 4 on there. is there a higher person or place to go to. i did quickly remove myself from myspace after seeing that they could care less but i don't also want to see another child or woman or boy to be harmed from the man that hurt me. i appreciate any help from any of you on what and where i can go with this issue.

If the guy doesn't have any charges against him (present or past) and/or is not a registered sex offender, it's unlikely that anything can be done.

It takes them a while, but I'm positive that if he matches a name on the sex offender registration list (assuming he uses his actual name), they'll delete his account. If he didn't use his real name, maybe you can send MySpace a link to this guy's page on the sex offender registration website and make sure they know it's the same guy, so they'll delete his account.

You can still report him to the state or county this guy lives in, so they can slap him with a violation, because most jurisdictions don't allow sex offenders to go on MySpace and they'll violate him for that. Most sex offenders are also on probation or parole, and that's definitely a violation of those rules as well. In the meantime, just delete your own account, or make it viewable by your friends only.

Why do you need us to tell you to go to the DA and the police? What exactly do you think the site can do other than erase the evidence?
