MySpace. Good? Bad?

I'm writing an article on the pros and cons to MySpace for school, can you please give me any suggestions on the good and bad sides of MySpace.

its been proven to be a breeding ground for sexual predators, identity thieves, hackers, and compulsive web-heads. theres actually a lot of studies going on right now that have turned up new social disorders that kids are developing from being glued to myspace.

i think it boils down to moderation, and not being an idiot. if you're someone with half a brain, you'll realize you need to go out and actually live life, not just sit in front of a pc all day. its one thing to surf when you're killing time between real activities, but these kids cant make it through the school day anymore, and spend all night on the pc, and myspace "friends" arent even ppl they've ever met or had a conversation with.

overall, myspace BAD.

Some positives: networking abilities, meeting new people, sharing yourself with other people, good outlet for creativity and gives you a voice when you may feel like you don't have one

Some negatives: Can become an obessive activity, not every page is appropriate for younger kids that might be using it, people you don't know can read your private thoughts

i think it is ok at times but there are alot of sex affenders so then i think thats a bad thing so the answer is bolth ways.
