there is this guy ive been friends with since 7th grade (now im a sophmore and hes a freshman). but last year something happened between us we just didnt talk at all adn now this year we are friends again but idk if he is trying to be nice since i just lost someone close. im his top friend on myspace and we talk online everyday and talk in school if we see eachother. and we were suppose to go to a movie today "as friends" but i asked him yesterday if we were still on for today but he said he would be too tired from marching band idk if he was lying then he messaged me back saying i have to talk to you at the football game! i like him but idk should i ask him to homecoming does he like me or does he feel bad for me?

he also told me im pretty and we had like a little fight over it and hes like im not lying your beautiful he liked me 2 years ago but now idk i feellike he just didnt want to hang out with me today he was the one that said he would join me but then he just ditched me

He might be a little shy around you because he likes you. Sometimes we don't want to take relationships to the next step because we're afraid of losing our friends out of it. You two sound close and maybe he was just tired and needed some space. Sometimes people need that to sort out what their really feeling. I think you should wait until the week of homecoming before you ask him, but hint around that you don't have a date yet and that your leaving your options open for the one that you really like, then wink at him and walk away. Maybe he's not sure how you feel about him. Good luck
